Beginning in late 2007, the SeverCorr Hot Roll Mill will produce up to 250,000 tons of high-quality steel for direct sale, in addition to feedstock for SeverCorr’s Pickling & Oiling line, the Cold Mill and the galvanizing lines. While Hot Roll will be up to 74 inches (1880 mm) wide, the bulk of product will be between 42” and 66” wide (1067-1676 mm). Steel production begins!
The SeverCorr steel plant is now fully operational. The first primary coil was shipped mid-September and the plant is ramping up to full-scale production.
