New Process Steel will build a facility for processing light gauge (.130” and lighter) pickle, cold roll and galvanized products, with 72” wide capabilities.
June 6, 2007SeverCorr Announces Cold Mill is operational.
America’s newest steel-producing company – announced today the cold mill is operational at its facility under construction in Columbus, Mississippi. The five-stand tandem cold mill is one of only four cold mills in the United States coupled with a pickle line and is the only one capable of producing coils up to 72” wide.
April 23, 2007SeverCorr Accelerates Plan for Expansion
A year-and-a-half after breaking ground at its 1,400-acre steel mill in Lowndes County, MS, SeverCorr today announced plans to accelerate expansion of the plant. Plans include the installation of a second production line that will more than double the mill’s capacity, increasing its annual production to 3.4 million tons of high-quality steels for use in the automotive, building, agricultural, pipe & tube, and appliance industries.
