The Pickle Line is a continuous, three-stage processing unit that includes acid wash and cascade rinsing lines, a strip dryer and a trimming capability. While SeverCorr will supply pickled and oiled hot roll steel to customers and partners, the pickling line is also directly coupled to the cold mill for continuous processing.

The Pickle Line is a continuous, three-stage processing unit that has a 150 meters per minute processing speed
  • The line entry features a pay-off reel with flattener, a flash-butt welder and a six-strand, 280-foot tension-regulated strip accumulator.

  • The process area includes a stretch bending unit for flatness control and scale breaking, three 60-foot turbulent pickling tanks, a cascade rinse section and a strip dryer.

  • The slitter – located at the end of the dryers -- has torrent heads for quick knife changes

  • The delivery section of the Pickle Line features a six-strand delivery strip accumulator, an electrostatic oiler, and a tensioning reel with strip centering.
